Main Quality Issues

⒈Color Difference: Different batches of Prada Emerald Marble may have color and texture differences. After installation, obvious color differences will affect the overall aesthetic effect.

⒉Cracking and Chipping: During transportation, cutting, or installation, the marble may crack or chip due to external forces or temperature changes. This not only affects the appearance but also may lead to stone detachment, posing a safety hazard.

⒊Adhesive and Fastener Quality: The quality of dry - hanging adhesives and fasteners is crucial. If the adhesive does not meet the quality requirements or the fasteners are not firm, it may cause the marble to fall off.

⒋Waterproofing and Anti - pollution Performance: If the waterproofing treatment of the marble is not good, water may penetrate into the wall, causing moisture, mildew, etc. In addition, the marble is easily contaminated, and if its anti - pollution performance is poor, it is difficult to clean the surface stains.

⒌Size and Dimension Deviation: The actual size of the marble may deviate from the specified size. For example, the thickness deviation, diagonal deviation, and surface flatness deviation may affect the installation effect and overall quality.

⒍Radioactivity: Marble may have certain radioactivity. If the radioactivity exceeds the standard, it will pose a threat to human health.

Inspection Tools

⒈Tape Measure: Used to measure the size of marble plates to check whether the length, width, and thickness meet the requirements. For example, the thickness tolerance of Prada Emerald Marble is usually ±0.5mm, and the diagonal tolerance is ±1mm.

⒉Level: To check the flatness of the marble surface. Place the level on the marble surface to see if there is any inclination or unevenness, ensuring that the surface flatness tolerance meets the standard, such as ±0.3mm.

⒊Square: Used to detect the perpendicularity of the adjacent edges of the marble to ensure that the angle between the edges is 90 degrees, and the perpendicularity tolerance is usually ±0.5mm.

⒋Magnifying Glass: Can be used to observe the surface details of the marble, such as whether there are fine cracks, pores, chipping, etc. Cracks with a depth of ≤0.2mm and pores with a diameter of ≤1mm and a spacing of ≥300mm are within the acceptable range.

⒌Color - difference Meter: Used to measure the color difference of marble. By measuring the Lab* values under the D65 standard light source, and calculating ΔE, the color difference ΔE≤3.0 is in line with the requirements.

⒍Mohs Hardness Tester: Used to test the hardness of marble. Prada Emerald Marble has a Mohs hardness of 3 - 4. Through the scratch test, the hardness of the marble can be determined to see if it meets the standard.

⒎Radioactivity Detector: Used to detect the radioactivity of marble to ensure that its internal irradiation index (I_{Ra} ≤1.0) and external irradiation index (I_{γ} ≤1.3) meet the safety standards.
