Quartz Countertop Structure Classification
Nov 10, 2024
The structure of quartz countertops is mainly composed of three layers: quartz slabs, glue and woven fiber cloth. Quartz slabs are the core material and occupy the vast majority of the entire countertop. Glue is used to bond quartz slabs and woven fiber cloth to enhance the stability and durability of the countertop, and woven fiber cloth plays a role in further strengthening the countertop.
Structural differences between different types of quartz countertops
Coarse particle board: fewer processing steps, mature technology, but relatively simple patterns and styles, and cheaper prices.
Fine particle board: quartz sand is polished finer, with small particles distributed on the surface, the overall look is more delicate, and the price is moderate.
Powder board: higher price, usually solid color or patterned board, with high decorativeness, but poor wear resistance
