Natural and Acceptable Features

• Veins and Color Variations: Beautiful, flowing veins with slight color shifts are normal and make each piece unique.
• Small Fissures: Tiny, hairline cracks that do not go through the stone are stable and do not affect strength.
• Pitting: Small pits or holes in the surface are common in marble and part of its character.
• Soft Lines: Slight unevenness from natural grain on edges is fine as long as function is not impacted.

Defects That Must Be Rejected

• Large Cracks: Any crack running through the entire thickness or longer than 2 inches – risk of breakage during installation.
• Chips or Breaks: Missing pieces on edges, corners, or surface – workmanship issues.
• Warping: Top must sit flat; rocking or visible bow is a defect.
